Regular meeting time

This year our regular meetings will be held 3rd Thursday of every month, 2-3pm at the SCI Conference Room.

Microneuroma data

Robert and Bryan have been looking at the volume Paul put together. They have noticed that there are somewhat large areas in some which appear to be off by a translation. Other than this they haven't found significant problems with the registererd images. They are in the process of manually identifying and tracking processes in this dataset and preparing a publication.

Paul showed the interactive registration tool he has been working on. This tool is intended for slice-to-slice registrations which fail with the automatic program. We thought it could also be useful for registering optical-optical images and optical-EM images.

Zebrafish data

Chi-Bin and Melissa are aiming to get a new specimen scanned at Dr. Denk's laboratory to give them the data they need to answer their scientific questions. This data will be of similar quality to the data we have been working with, but will cover the correct areas of anatomy.

Software release

We are aiming for a first release of our software later this fall. Several issues need to be sorted out such as licensing and patches to ITK.

(notes by Tolga, please add/correct anything).
